Both have fantastic taste, especially Kesia. Not only did she create the linens for her wedding, but she also had great attention to detail. Humberto constructed the table to fit the sweetheart couch. I was very lucky to be able to put this event together for their big day.Wedding date: April 19, 2014.Inspiration: This wedding was based off of a royal affair. The centerpieces included gold candelabras and gold frames for the table numbers. The gold was paired with eggplant accents and ivory lace table cloths for an elegant, regal look. There was antique seating for the sweetheart table. Chandeliers and drapes with up lighting accented the room.Color palette: Eggplant and gold.Budget: $40,000.Guest count: 300.Most unique design element: The lace tablecloths added an Old-World feel that made the room look luxurious. And, although the theme was royal wedding, the family wanted to bring in its Hispanic heritage, so we had a mariachi band with flamenco dancers perform.Biggest challenge: There was only one hour to set up but we were able to do so because we had a fantastic crew, and the hotel staff assisted as well. Everyone was in sync and worked together to make things flow smoothly.Learnings:  It’s important to sit down with the bride as early as possible to discuss the best way to seat guests. For this wedding, the bride wanted to do a seating chart on a display board but ran out of time and typed it the morning of the wedding. We were not to let anyone in who was not on the list. Unfortunately, since we did not have time to check for errors, a few guest names were missing from the list. However, we were able to accommodate the missing by checking with the family.
