What happens Behind the Scenes at your wedding?

As a client of a wedding planner you may never know all the things that occur on your wedding day.  So, I want to encourage you to meet one last time with your wedding planner after your honeymoon!  Take a moment to sit down or call him/her and ask, “What went on behind the scenes on my wedding day?”  You will be surprised at what you might hear.

One of our own clients – had they asked – would have learned that their florist never delivered.  That the florist they hired…and paid called us the night before and said they have the flowers but can’t put them together.  So, after rehearsal we were calling around to florists that could put together what the clients had asked for.  We found one and at 11pm picked up the refrigerated flowers to take them an hour away to have another florist put them together and then she brought them to us.  The savior florist didn’t charge us anything, but we did get the payments back from the first florist and gave them to the second.  It was a mess, but the clients to this day know nothing about it.

One thing that we as wedding planners try to do really well is handle stress.  It may not always happen, but we are in charge of YOUR special day, that one day that you’ve been looking forward to.  Sometimes we have to unload to and we’d love to tell you what actually happened behind the scenes on your wedding day!

Veronica also owns Behind the Wedding Business, where she works as a business coach and provides services for both new and experienced wedding planners.
