Criteria for Becoming a State Manager with the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC)
Membership Level Requirements
Must be an Active Member of ABC in good standing for at least 2 consecutive years
Preferred Membership Level: Professional, Accredited, or Master Wedding Planner
Must uphold and actively promote ABC’s core values and mission
Professional Engagement
Preferred: Attended at least one ABC Annual Conference in the past 2 years
Actively participates in ABC educational programs, such as webinars, local networking events, or conferences
Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing professional development in the wedding industry
Leadership Qualities
Demonstrated Leadership: Shows an interest in promoting ABC and supporting fellow members
Community Involvement: Engages with the wedding community within their state and is well respected by peers
Displays strong communication skills and a willingness to mentor and support members in their region
Commitment to ABC's Mission
Shows a passion for growing ABC membership and fostering member engagement at the local level
Willing to represent ABC at wedding shows, expos, and other industry events
Demonstrates an understanding of ABC’s Certified Wedding Planner & Educator programs and can promote these opportunities to members
Additional Considerations
Recommendation: Has expressed an interest in leadership or volunteered for ABC initiatives
Endorsed: Receives a recommendation from current leadership (e.g., Vice President of Communications or Regional Directors)
Reputation: Known for being a positive, professional, and ethical representative of ABC in their state
