You can actually see it. The couple wanted to create an event that spanned days and would allow guests, many from out-of-town, to mix, mingle, and interact while creating wonderful memories. Wedding date: August 15 - 17, 2015Inspiration: The inspiration was flowy, airy romance in which each event would grow increasingly grander in order to build up to their reception as the finale. This three-day, four-event weekend celebration started when guests arrived at their hotels where fabulous welcome bags awaited them. A weekend Reception Room was available to guests with beverages and snacks throughout the weekend. Friday night was a rustic, traditional family dinner at the bride’s family lake house. The décor was farm tables and sunflower centerpieces. Saturday included a tented luncheon for 200 guests at the family’s synagogue, followed by a large rehearsal dinner for 200 at Owera’s Vineyard in Cazenovia. The highlight on Sunday was a stunning wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.Color palette: A mix of metals (gold/silver/bronze) with a soft ivory undertoneBudget: $750,000Most Unique Design Element: The most unique design element was having three different, cohesive centerpieces, which meshed together beautifully. Biggest Challenge: The biggest challenge was ensuring everyone was on schedule due to the many components of each event.Learnings: I’ve learned that although I’m very detailed-oriented, it’s always a good idea to plan for the unexpected. When all that planning comes together and your clients are overjoyed with the results, you can enjoy the moment, which is memorable and priceless. ••
